Did you know that when you shop at your local cannabis shop, you’re probably buying weed that’s grown in BC? Our province is filled with hundreds of cannabis fields, both covered and uncovered. Plus, because of federal legalization, the local industry is open for innovation and therefore able to produce some of the best cannabis in the world.
BC is hotbed for cannabis production here in Canada. Producing over a third of the country’s cannabis, we’ve been putting our big, beautiful land to good use. In an effort to see what this province has to offer and celebrate our thriving cannabis industry, we’re setting off on the journey of a lifetime.
The Road Trip
On April 9th, we set off on somewhat of a cannabis pilgrimage. Starting at our home base at Cheeky’s Cannabis Maple Ridge, we’re winding our way around the province for 3,000 kilometres to experience the best of what BC has to offer: experiences, spaces, places, icons, resources, education, and of course – cannabis.
After departing Cheeky’s in Maple Ridge, we’ll be heading east to Mission to enjoy the cannabis-friendly patios at Mission Springs Brewing Company. Then we’ll be hitting the road for a few hours to reach Kamloops. From there we’ll head east to the Rocky Mountains and travel down through the Kootenays. After that, it’s back out west through the Fraser Valley, and onto Vancouver Island. Our final stop is in Nanaimo, a couple hours from the southern tip of the Island.
